Refund Policy
This policy explains how refunds work for Serai’s digital subscription and in-app purchases. It applies in addition to the terms of the store or payment provider you used (e.g. Google Play, Apple App Store, or Paddle).
1. Digital products – general rule
Serai provides digital services and content. As a general rule, fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started or once access to paid features has been delivered, except where required by law, by the applicable app store policies, or as stated below.
2. Subscription cancellation and refunds
Subscription cancellation
- Cancel anytime before your renewal date through the channel where you subscribed.
- Access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- No partial refunds for unused time within a billing period, except where we state otherwise below or where required by law.
Exceptions where a refund may be granted
We may grant a refund in good faith in situations such as:
- A technical issue on our side that prevents access to paid features for more than 72 consecutive hours (after we have had a reasonable opportunity to fix it);
- Duplicate charges for the same subscription period; or
- Unauthorized charges that we can verify after investigation.
Refunds for purchases through Google Play or the Apple App Store are ultimately subject to those platforms’ policies; we will assist where we can.
EU / UK users
You may have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of first purchase under applicable consumer law in the EU and UK. This right may be waived if you access premium features before the 14 days expire and you have been informed of that waiver as required by law. Nothing in this policy limits mandatory rights that cannot be waived in your country.
How to request a refund
Email support@getserai.com with:
- Your account email;
- Purchase date and amount; and
- Reason for your refund request.
We aim to respond within 5 business days.
3. Free trial
When we offer a 7-day trial, you can use eligible paid features during the trial without being charged for that period, subject to the terms shown at signup.
- If you cancel during the trial period before it ends (through the same channel you used to start the trial—e.g. Play, App Store, or web billing), you will not be charged for the subscription that would have started after the trial.
- If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the first payment may be taken automatically according to the plan you selected.
4. How to cancel
Cancellation is handled through the channel where you subscribed (e.g. Google Play Subscriptions, Apple Subscriptions, or your Paddle customer portal / link from your receipt). Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not always refund past charges unless a refund is granted under this policy, store rules, or law.
